i'm the smartest person in the world...and here's why

okay, so maybe not the smartest person...but i'm not the stupidest person. if my smart cup were sitting on a table, i'd say it would be half full. i'm just proud of myself because i just changed a lightbulb. whoo! it burnt out, i found out what kind it was, and went to the store, bought a new one, and installed it on my very own. i'm so domesticated.

now, i'm sitting here sipping my iced venti shaken black tea (half sweet!), listening to belle and sebastian and mentally preparing myself to wash some dishes. i've been avoiding it for a few days, so i've got to psych myself up to tackle the perilous mountain of cups i seem to have amassed. i suppose i drink alot.

thinking back to my week, not too much exciting happened other than i got to see someone undergo surgery for a total colonectomy (read: i saw them put this person under, cut them open, poke around their insides and take some of it out). it was totally cool - the only part that made me want to barf was when they gave the epidural right before surgery - i really don't like watching people get needles, especially painful ones. oh, and i suppose i wouldn't enjoy seeing them saw into bone either. give me blood and guts any day please! (and a cute surgical resident to stare at!)

anyways, i'm treating myself to a pedicure tomorrow, because i deserve it. i also treated myself to a pair of jeans, two tops and a jacket today...you guessed it...because i deserve it. not that i really did anything to deserve it. although i did find myself a place to stay when i'm in vancouver in august - two blocks off robson, right in the heart of the awesome shopping/restaurant scene downtown. booyeah. my bank account won't know what hit it! (other than too many pairs of shoes, too much MAC, and a pinch of more iced venti shaken black teas) i'm totally stoked to explore a new city for a few weeks, live a few blocks from the ocean, and use it as a 'working vacation'. oh! and i'll have to go over the the aquarium again.

well, those dishes aren't going to wash themselves. supper isn't going to make itself, and my clothes aren't going to get put into the washer by themselves.

and bottle rocket isn't going to watch itself.

until next time. adeiu. adieu. to yeu and yeu and yeu.

  • We've lost you to the chachi dark side haven't we? iced venti shaken black tea? I know what most of those words mean but not when they're put together in one sentence like that.
